Hello, I’m Peter Klinke. On behalf of my co-directors Wayne Warnica, Jacques Genest and Robert Welsh, I’d like to invite you to attend the 25th Anniversary of the Annual Cardiovascular Conference at Lake Louise.

[ACC Lake Louise 2009 will be held on March 1-5.]

Our five-day scientific program focuses on the latest diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive approaches to heart disease. In  2009, we’re very pleased to be bringing you an outstanding lineup of faculty, including perennial favorites Heidi Connolly, Bernard Gersh, Peter Liu and Allan Ross as well as Paul Armstrong, Matthias Friedrich, Eric Schampert and David Waters—among others.

We’ve developed this website to provide information about this year’s conference and CME resources from previous years.

For a quarter-century, ACC Lake Louise has been a premier venue for cardiology CME in Canada, and in large part it’s the opportunity for personal interactions that helps make Lake Louise such a success year after year—there’s a chance to experience, in William Osler’s words, the “influence of character on character.”

So, explore the website for registration details and contact me or my co-directors with any questions. It would be great to see you at Lake Louise in Spring 2009.

Best regards,

Dr. W. Peter Klinke, ACC Lake Louise Co-Director

Faculty are among those who set the worldwide cardiovascular agenda, and this accredited event has a 25-year tradition of CME excellence.

The conference is designed to benefit cardiologists, internists, general practitioners, cardiovascular surgeons and other healthcare professionals interested in cardiovascular medicine and surgery. The program consists of lectures, panel discussions and knowledge translation workshops.

At Lake Louise, there are family-friendly ski runs for all levels of ability as well as miles of beautiful cross-country trails. Special lift ticket discounts are available for conference attendees and their families.

And if you need a break from skiing, there is always ice skating on beautiful Lake Louise or workout opportunities in the fully equipped health club. You can also experience dog- and horse-sled rides or pamper yourself in the newly updated spa. Don’t forget to satisfy culinary cravings with the exquisite food selection in the Château’s several dining rooms.

At the end of the day, you can simply relax and enjoy one of the most scenic vistas in the world.

At Lake Louise, there’s something for everyone!
